A guard crew member under a long-term contract with COLUMBA, currently stationed on The Eternal, and has a good relationship with Eliot. Fran is a shield bearer at the front line, appearing steady and reliable in combat. She is well-balanced in all aspects, both physically and mentally resilient. Filled with a strong sense of responsibility, she always leads the charge and protects teammates with her shield. Her back is a reassuring sight for her companions.

Born into a large, four-generation family, Fran, as the eldest daughter, is especially used to living with plenty of people. As a matter of fact, her family is who she learned the importance of structure and organization from. Growing up this way is what turned her into a strong and dependable person.
With her phenomenal physical constitution and noteworthy leadership skills, Fran got promoted to the captain of a small team soon after joining the armed forces of her hometown, Edunn City. To her, who's well-accustomed to military life, she found her teammate Eliot a total freak, for Eliot's unfamiliarity with working in a group had resulted in many troubles in the highly disciplined military troop. Consequently, Fran, the captain, had to shoulder the responsibilities, which led to her paying more attention to Eliot. What she didn't anticipate was that this attention would be the reason her life trajectory "diverged" from how it was originally planned.
Eliot, unacquainted with military life, often made loads of mistakes, but Fran didn't resent Eliot for it. Rather, she treated Eliot like how she would her younger siblings, trying her best to communicate with Eliot to figure out just what was going on in Eliot's mind.
In the eyes of others, Fran had gotten attracted to the "genuinity" of Eliot that had been concealed under her frivolous attitude, but one day, out of the blue, Eliot resigned and left Edunn City. Fran was tempted to go after Eliot and ask about it but had to curb that impulse for her obligations. Yet, in the following days, she sensed that she could no longer work at ease anymore. The realization of her inability to keep a cool head, which rarely occurred, prompted her to make the most risky and 'irresponsible' choice of her life: She submitted her resignation application and went in search of Eliot.
"I can't just leave her be," was Fran's thought as she left Edunn City to trace Eliot's steps, which led her all the way to a hunter's hut in the wilderness. The only things she looked into were the level of Morphic Field Pollution and the Chaos Remain population nearby. It was when she arrived that she discovered this was such a serene and spacious plot of land. As it turned out, Eliot grew up in an environment wholly different from Fran's, a possibility why she had that 'laidback' aura that kids who grew up in urban cities rarely exuded.
Now that Fran located Eliot, she started hesitating instead. What if Eliot, who had just lost her father, didn't want to be found? What if Eliot had decided to keep living in the wilderness and wasn't interested in seeing a weirdo who chased after her all this way from the city? But soon after, Fran's urge to see Eliot and get to the bottom of things ultimately chased away her hesitation. She pushed open the hut's door with determination.
"Hmm? Why did I leave with Fran? Well... I mulled it over and realized there wasn't anything fun to do or eat where I lived... Life without milk tea, fried chicken, and gaming consoles is unbelievably boring!" explained Eliot smilingly when asked why she had left the hut with Fran.
Since no one else other than them would be able to know what exactly transpired back then, everyone will just have to take her word for it.
"It was like there wasn't anything she couldn't do. All we had to do was follow Fran, and she'd lead us forward!"
From the mouths of the old armed forces members, Fran was an incredibly reliable female leader. Her physique was slightly more muscular than other women her age, making her always the one lifting the shield at the forefront on the battlefield. Similarly, in daily life, she loved looking out for others and frequently solved everyone's problems.
Her background and experiences played a big part in her conduct, allowing her to naturally lead a small team not with commands but with her unique cohesiveness and affability. Nonetheless, only she knew in her heart that for a long time, she herself had no clue what her "dream goal" was. The weight on her shoulders was too heavy. In actuality, she hadn't been proceeding on a path she selected but had been dragged along by "responsibilities" that people hoped for her.
All that changed when Eliot appeared in Fran's life. Fran was both baffled and fascinated by how someone could be this undisciplined, unbridled, and free as a bird. Eliot was like an actual arrow that pierced Fran's monotonous life, spurring Fran to diverge from the "right path" for the first time, impulsively leave everything behind, leave the armed forces, leave the Bonfire City, and leave that future that had been set in stone.
She didn't make any plans for what should happen after locating Eliot, but it didn't matter to her anymore. An unpredictable future is what makes life interesting. Even if there's danger ahead, she has Eliot and everyone on The Eternal by her side now. The thought of this is what motivates her as she moves forward with her shield in hand.
From now on, she will live for herself.
I'm Fran, pleased to meet you, Conductor. By the way, where's Eliot?
Time to change shifts? Has it been that long? I'll be right there.
Eliot... doesn't really interact with people much, so she's often misunderstood, but she's actually a great person.
Growing up with younger siblings who frequently quarreled, of course I became very patient being the eldest.
I understand there might be budget issues, but can we purchase some new shields? It's a matter of life and death after all.
I know it's dangerous, but when I see a companion in danger, my body instinctively... Sorry for making you worry. Hiss...
Just saying it won't work if your body doesn't move as well.
Since my defeat by Eliot in a training session a long time ago, I've cared a lot about her...
Eliot's eyes are very sharp in combat. That somehow makes me feel... no, it's nothing.
Eliot's birthday is coming, I wonder what I should give her... Any ideas, Conductor?
Conductor! Great news! Eliot won't just brush me off by saying she can't be bothered anymore.
You're too a kind person, Conductor... That's probably why everyone adores you.
I'm here to pay a visit, Conductor. Bet you haven't eaten, I'll make something for you. Got an apron?
Hi, Conductor, want to go grab a drink? Don't be so formal. It's not working hours now.
Leave it to me! I'll protect you.
Let me take the lead!
Don't worry. I'll be your shield!
Standby for battle! Stay in formation!
Don't panic... Watch this!
Sorry you guys to see that... I'll leave the rest to you!
Eliot... I'm sorry...
Our perseverance has brought us victory... Thank you, everyone.
